Focus on Therapy Dog Class

 

Do you think your dog has what it takes to become a therapy dog? Maybe you just want to be sure you’ll be welcome at any dog friendly cafe or store. This class will allow you practice to the skills needed for all this and more. We will be using positive training methods to strengthen the bond between you and your dog.

 

Some of the things covered in this class are:

• Loose leash walking with distractions

• Proper greeting with people

• Stays with distractions

• Reliable recalls

• Settle to mat

• Drop it

 

This class is 8 weeks for $200.00.

 

Prerequisite Class: This class is open to all who have completed our Basic Manners or Puppy Head Start.

Focus on Moving Along Class

 

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a dog that is so happy to walk with you that he prances by your side while looking up at you lovingly? Wouldn’t it be amazing if this could be done as you walk past his favorite dog friend in the neighborhood? This can be your reality. This class combines the skill of stationing and the beauty of motion to create a positive experience for both you and your dog while you move together in unison.

 

Some of the things covered in this class are:

• Loose leash walking on both sides

• Stationing on a plateform

• Many of the basic handling moves that are used in the sport of agility

• Crate Games

• Spins and Twists

 

This class is 8 weeks for $200.00.

 

Prerequisite Class: This class is open to all who have completed our Basic Manners or Puppy Head Start.

Focus on Jobs for Busy Dogs

 

In this class we will explore how to teach your dog some helpful skills that you can use every day.

 

Some examples are:

• Pick up things you drop

• Turn on a light

• Pull off your socks

• Help you up off of the floor

 

This class is 8 weeks for $200.00.

Focus on Fun and Games

 

Shall we play a game? Build on the basics by playing some super fun games with your four-legged partner! Each week we will learn new behaviors while strengthening what you’ve already learned in prior classes. Each session will end with a skill building, high engaging game! You will learn all the different modes of training: Shaping, targeting, capturing. How fun will it be to watch your dog push an item across the floor to the finish line? We will also learn station to a platform and run rover recall games. Learning has never been this much fun…...
